20/08/2010 Spotting at Farnborough

Farnborough spotting

The show buildings are being cleared very fast and the view from
Dairy gate A325 of the Ramp area Is once again available to
Spotters but please please take care when visiting there do not
Park or Enter the Hotel grounds at any time .Security are very
Hostile.

Eelmore bridge area Fleet road

This area is Favoured by local Spotters but carparking is very
limited . There is a litter problem there so please dont drop
Rubbish.

Fast Museum

Open at Weekends 1000 To 1600 And has very many exhibits
of Farnborough RAE Days , Some Ramp views and East apron
can be had . Car parking very Limited.

All other areas around the perimeter are really not suitable
for Spotters much is private property and you are advised
not to venture or park there.

in places that might be considered a security risk.

If You see anyone or anything that looks suspicious do not hesitate

20 August 2010 1940 70 years on

The 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain is being commemorated by
a reading of one of Churchill's most famous speeches and a fly-past.
Winston Churchill's "so much owed by so many to so few" speech will be
read at 1552 BST,precisely 70 years after he gave the address in Parliament.
The reading outside the Churchill War Rooms will be followed by a Spitfire
and Hurricane fly-past over Whitehall.

70th anniversary of Battle of Britain event Friday in which the Battle of Britain
memorial flight will take in overflights of all airfields involved.
the third flight of the day starts in Kent and heads across London
then heads south from Wycombe around 16 .15

RAF Familys day at RAF ODIHAM

This Event is not open to the public is an Annual event
at RAF Stations .Military and Civilan aircraft are at the
Event including the BLADES , BBMF . Based Chinnoks
give Rides to Family members .

The week up to today very little has occured post airshow
although on Tuesday and wednesday Dakota N147DC Was seen flying
through the Area . Owned by Aces High At Dunsfold one of 2 currently
flying in the UK.
At Farnborough during the week Eight wide body jets of Boeing and Airbus
types A318 A319 B737 BBJ Were present on the Tag Ramp.

There are still a couple of aircraft left over from the show currently parked
on East apron . G-ORED left on Thursday.

Wednesday the area was deluged late morning Early pm by heavy
Thunderstorms which spread to many parts of the south causing
delays to Road Rail and air Travel.

The football season opened on the 7th with our 3 local sides in action
